Extraordinary Minister

Call: To distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to the gathered assembly.

Gifts Desired: A mature understanding of the Eucharist and a reverence for the people as the body of Christ.

Commitment: To minister at assigned liturgy. Based on the current schedule, 2 weeks per month.  You must be certified by the Diocese of Tyler however if you are new, we do accept certification from other dioceses.

Opportunity: To grow in your Eucharistic spirituality.

Lector

Call: Proclaim the Word with care and enthusiasm. The word of God is more than print on a page. It needs to be given life and proclaimed as GOOD news.

Gifts Desired: A good clear speaking voice, and a willingness to develop your public speaking abilities.

Commitment: To be prepared to proclaim God's Word at assigned liturgies. Based on the current schedule, 8 masses throughout the year. You must be certified by the Diocese of Tyler however if you are new, we do accept certification from other dioceses.  We would be happy to work with you on proclaiming the word if you are interested.

Opportunity: To be formed by the power of God's Word.

Usher

Call: To help people find seating as needed and take up the collection.

Gifts Desired: A friendly, helpful attitude, self-direction and willingness to participate assertively in the process. Adults, Senior High youth, and families are welcome to minister.

Commitment: Based on the current schedule, 12 weeks throughout the year.

Opportunity: To meet new people

Greeter

Call: To welcome people to the church, provide books for mass and distribute bulletins after Mass.

Gifts Desired: A friendly, helpful attitude. Adults, Senior High youth, and families are welcome to minister.

Commitment: Based on the current schedule, 8 weeks throughout the year.

Opportunity: Enhance the sense of community for current parishioners and to meet new people.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to Mass on Sunday (20 minutes early on Saturday)
